Tata Punch most value for variant is this!

India’s top selling micro SUVs, Tata Punch is enjoying the sales figures as the SUV has already hit the 2 Lakh production milestone. The SUV is sold in mainly 4 variants, Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. Diving deeper, all these variants are offered with various packs adding to the features list. But which is the most value for money option? According to us, it is the Adventure variant. The Adventure variant sits above the base Pure variant in Punch’s portfolio. Further, the Adventure variant comes with Camo, Rhythm and Rhythm Camo packages. Let’s talk one by one about each of these variants.

Tata Punch Adventure Design

Starting with the design elements, Tata Punch comes with split headlamps styling inspired by its elder sibling, the Harrier. So up front, the DRLs are placed on the top with the turn indicators placed in the same unit. While the main headlamp units are placed below them. However, talking about the Adventure variant specifically, it misses out on LED DRLs and instead is equipped with yellow bulbs. Also in the Adventure variant you do not get the fog lamps.

Engine Specifications

The Punch Adventure is offered with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine along with option for CNG in some variants as mentioned above. The power output for the 1.2-litre petrol is 87bhp with 115Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox option. Whereas the CNG variant produces 72bhp and 103Nm of torque, CNG is only offered with a manual gearbox. 

Features

Talking about the features, the Adventure variant is equipped with day/night IRVM, audio system with 4 speakers, body coloured ORVMs & door handles, full wheel covers, follow me headlamps, steering mounted controls and LED tail lamps.

Price

Tata Punch Adventure (manual) comes at an on-road Mumbai price of 8.16 Lakh. The AMT variant and the CNG variant comes at an on-road Mumbai price of 8.85 Lakh and 8.91 Lakh respectively.

Tata Punch Adventure Camo

Adding a total of 10,000 Rs you get the Camo package. With the Camo package you get some upgrades in the aesthetics.  For starters you get Foliage Green exterior colour with black or white contrast roof. Also, you get some green detailing on the dashboard and upholstery. The on-road Mumbai price of the Punch Adventure Camo variant is 8.27 Lakh while the AMT variant of the same is priced at 8.96 Lakh (on-road Mumbai)

Tata Punch Adventure Rhythm

Adding a total of 35,000 Rs you get the Rhythm package with the Punch. Unlike the Camo, you get some useful features as an addition. The Rhythm pack gets additional features like- 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, tweeters, and a reverse parking camera. Tata Punch Adventure Rhythm pack will cost you at 8.56 Lakh on-road in Mumbai. The CNG variant and the AMT variant will cost you at an on-road Mumbai price of 9.33 Lakh and 9.25 Lakh respectively.

Tata Punch Adventure Rhythm Camo

So what if you want the aesthetics of Camo and features of Rhythm? Well Tata Motors is offering a combination of Camo and Rhythm packs with the Punch Adventure. You can get it by paying extra Rs 45,000. However, you do not get an option for CNG with this particular pack. The on-road Mumbai price for the manual variant of Tata Punch Adventure Rhythm Camo is 8.67 Lakh and for AMT variant the price is 9.37 Lakh on-road Mumbai.
