Tata Nexon facelift has been one of the most anticipated launches of 2023. It has been one of the best selling SUVs in India and the news of facelift grabbed the attention of every one of us. The facelift is expected to launch with redesigned exterior and interior and a long list of new features. However the Nexon facelift could miss out on one important feature.

Which one is that feature? We tell you about that in today’s article.

Nexon facelift could miss out on one important feature! – Missing feature

Nexon facelift could miss out on one important feature!

Few months back there were rumours that Tata Nexon facelift could get a segment’s first feature, ADAS.

All of us were expecting Tata Motors to equip the Nexon facelift with the ADAS. However not a single test mule of the Nexon facelift was seen with radar for ADAS. Also, no one is now talking about the ADAS in the Nexon facelift

On the other hand, its competitors like the Mahindra XUV 300 and the Kia Sonet are said to get ADAS in their respective facelifts. So maybe Tata has missed the chance by not providing such an exclusive feature.

So, could Tata Motors have offered ADAS for the masses with the Nexon facelift? Or have they reserved it for the future? No clarity about that as of now but what we do know is that we will be experiencing the Tata Nexon facelift on 4th and 5th September in the media drive.

What we know so far?

Design

Nexon facelift could miss out on one important feature!

Up front, the SUV now gets a more upright design for the grille. It also has a blacked out element that houses the DRL. Just like other Tata cars, the Nexon too now gets eyebrow designed DRLs, while the main headlamp units are placed on the lower part of the bumper. Overall, the front fascia of the new Nexon is now sharper than the outgoing model and seems heavily inspired by the Curvv concept.

Recently an image was leaked during the TVC shoot of Tata Nexon facelift, revealing the rear end of the car. The image revealed a few details like the new wraparound rear spoiler, Range Rover inspired rear spoiler which is tucked underneath the spoiler, connected tail lamps and new vertical housing for the reflectors.

Features

On features front the Nexon facelift is highly possible to get a 360 degree camera, updated IRA system, an all new touch-sensitive AC control panel, paddle shifters, new digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. And as we said, it could miss out on ADAS.

Engine and Transmission

Powering the Nexon could be the same 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. For the petrol engine the Nexon will get a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and an all new 7-speed DCA transmission option. Whereas the diesel engine will continue to get 6-speed manual and AMT transmissions.

Nexon facelift could miss out on one important feature! – Launch and Pricing

Talking about the launch timeline, well Tata Motors has already sent us the media drive invitations for the 4th and 5th September. However, according to a company insider, Tata plans to launch the new Nexon on 14th September. Talking about the pricing, we can expect a price hike over the current model. While the exact pricing could be revealed at the time of official launch.
