The Alcazar is often overshadowed by the Creta. Still, it is doing decently in the fiercely competed mid-size 7-seater segment. Now the Creta is destined to get a major update in the form of a facelift. So we can also expect Alcazar to get this update. Will it be the same as Creta or could it get more? In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift.

Design changes

2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift

The Creta facelift is going to get a palisade-like front design. We can expect something similar on the Alcazar facelift. At the front, we could see an upright grille and thunder-like DRL design and a two-step headlamp. We don’t expect any major changes in the side profile barring a new alloy wheel design. At the rear, we could see H-shaped tail lamps like we see on the Exter. Hyundai could add some more bits to differentiate the design of Alcazar from the Creta facelift.

2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift – New features

The interiors of the car could get a new dashboard layout. Still, we don’t expect any major changes as the current design is already quite well-refined. Hyundai could add some new features like the heads-up display, memory function etc. Another major thing we could see on the Alcazar is ADAS. Most probably it will be a level-2 system similar to the one offered on the new Verna. Hopefully, Hyundai also improves the safety of Alcazar on the back of its tall safety claims with the Exter.

Specifications

As it is a facelift, we don’t expect Hyundai to tinker much with the specifications. The Alcazar still should measure around 4.5 metres. In terms of engine specifications, it will continue with the 1.5-litre turbo (157bhp/258Nm) petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine(113bhp/250Nm). Both engines should continue with manual and automatic options. What are your thoughts? Should Hyundai give the Alcazar a bigger diesel engine option?

2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift – Launch

2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift front

Hyundai has started testing the Creta facelift in India. According to media reports, Hyundai plans to launch the Creta facelift in the first half of 2024. Considering the similarities between the two, the Alcazar facelift could be launched in a similar time frame. At Max, Hyundai could launch the Alcazar facelift a few months after the Creta facelift. What about the pricing? Pricing-wise, the Alcazar facelift should be Rs 70k to 80k more expensive than the outgoing model.
