The market wants more SUVs, and that is exactly what Mahindra is delivering. Its recent growth has been brought about by the Scorpio-N and XUV700. With the SUV craze, Mahindra is keeping an eye out on the EV space too, with the XUV400 and Born Electric cars. So what’s next from the brand? It could very well be the Bolero Neo Plus and one of its largest SUVs by dimensions. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Bolero Neo Plus 2023.

Design changes

2023 Bolero Neo Plus

In May this year, the Bolero Neo Plus was spotted testing after a long time. This test mule had camouflage on some bits. However, it had the Bolero Neo Plus badging and rear-mounted tyre. In the side profile, we can see its massive road presence. The front was not spotted, but we can expect a slightly tweaked front compared to the Bolero Neo.

2023 Bolero Neo Plus – Interior

2023 Bolero Neo Plus

We can expect a similar interior design to the Bolero Neo. In the last row, we will see jumper seats leading to the 9-seater layout. Such a type of layout is quite popular in commercial and police fleets. In terms of features, we could see an 8-inch infotainment system, analogue instrument cluster, engine start-stop, manual air conditioning, all power windows etc. In terms of safety, it could get 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP etc.

Specifications

The Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus will naturally come with a bigger engine compared to the Bolero Neo. We could see the 2.2-litre diesel engine that powers the Mahindra Thar. This engine is capable of producing 130bhp and 300Nm of torque. Maybe we could see an automatic gearbox as we have it on the Thar. It could also get the MTT technology for a bit of off-roading capabilities.
