Mahindra caused quite a shake-up with the launch of XUV700 in 2021. The XUV700 had everything going for it from a muscular design to segment-leading features. It took almost 1 and 1.5 years for other manufacturers to catch up to the XUV700. However, Mahindra wants to stay a step ahead by bringing more new variants and features to the XUV700 lineup. Last week, we covered the possibility of a 6-seater variant. Now according to rumours, we could see new variants and several new features. In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2023 Mahindra XUV700.

New features

According to TeamBHP, Mahindra could add new features to the XUV700. To go toe to toe with the Tata Safari, Mahindra could add front & rear ventilated seats and a sliding 2nd row. Another addition could be auto-dimming IRVM which is absent on the current model. We could also see a powered tailgate, currently offered only by MG Hector. Other features include an updated connected app and a rear LED strip.

Along with the new features, Mahindra is also planning to launch new variants. Mahindra could launch 4 new variants by this festive season. These could include AX7 (with a new suffix), AX9 and AX9L variants. The AX9 variants could be the above-mentioned additional features. Also, there is a new AX5L variant which could be slotted between the AX5 and AX7 variants. This AX5L variant might get some new features over the AX5. SPecification-wise, we think all these variants will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options.
