The Hyundai Creta continues to claim the top spot in the Indian SUV market. Even though its sales are high, the Creta is now the oldest car in its segment. Hyundai knows this and is working on a facelifted model. Till the time facelift comes Hyundai will be using another trick to keep the SUV fresh. What is it doing? It is bringing a new edition for the Creta. Ahead of the launch it has trademarked the name. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Creta adventure edition.

Creta Adventure edition

Last week, we covered how Hyundai is working on a new special edition for the Creta. However, it seems that Hyundai has been preparing for this for some time. It has trademarked the Creta Adventure edition in India. The brand had done this in March this year.

Creta Adventure edition – What will change?

The Adventure edition will replace the Knight edition in the CReta variant lineup. To go with the name, the Creta will come with a new ‘Ranger Khaki’ colour option with a black roof. This colour debuted on the Exter. Other changes include blacked-out alloy wheels and adventure badging everywhere. In the interiors, we could see blacked-out interiors with some contrasting stitches for the upholstery. Hyundai could add adventure badging on the headrests and dashboard. Feature-wise, we don’t expect any new features in this edition.

Specifications

The Adventure edition will continue with the same engine options. We will see the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (113bhp/143Nm) and the 1.5-litre diesel engine (113bhp/250Nm). The special edition should come with manual and automatic options to entice new buyers. For the turbo petrol, you will have to wait for the facelifted model.
