Now in August, we could see the same trend with several new products lineup. In today’s article, let’s talk about the all upcoming cars in August 2023. 

Tata Punch CNG

Tata is going to have a blockbuster festive season with a lot of products lined up. This sequence will be started by the Punch CNG. The Punch CNG will come with Tata’s famed twin-cylinder technology. This will open a lot of space in its boot. The Punch CNG will come with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 86bhp and 115Nm of torque. CNG option will only come with a manual gearbox option. Tata is expected to launch the Punch CNG in the first half of August. 

Toyota Rumion

Toyota and Maruti’s partnership is going strong in terms of product sharing. Maruti recently rebadged the Innova HyCross as Invicto and now Toyota is going to rebadge the Ertiga as Rumion. It already sells Rumion in some global markets. Like other badge-engineered cars, we see a new grille and some bumper changes. In the interiors, we can expect a change in the upholstery colour. What about the specifications? The Rumion will come with the same K15C 1.5-litre petrol engine. In terms of pricing, the Rumion will be a bit expensive, but Toyota could offer a better warranty.

In June, Volvo unveiled the Volvo C40 recharge in India. Now it is expected to launch the car. The C40 will be Volvo’s 2nd EV in the country after the XC40 recharge it launched last year. Overall the C40 is more like the coupe version of the XC40 Recharge. The C40 comes with a dual-motor setup producing 408hp and 660Nm of torque. This motor is paired with a 78kWh battery pack with a claimed mileage of 530km (WLTP cycle). Volvo is expected to launch the car in the second half of August. 

Mercedes GLC

Mercedes-Benz GLC made its global debut earlier this year and now the brand is bringing it to India. The new GLC has a new design and updated interiors. Specs-wise, the GLC will come with 2.0-litre petrol and diesel options. We also have a 48v integrated starter motor for an extra power boost. In the interiors, we have two large screens housing the infotainment and instrument cluster. Mercedes will be launching the GLC on 9th August 2023.

Last month, Audi unveiled the Q8 e-tron in India. Now it will be revealing the pricing of the car. The Q8 eTron is essentially the rebadged version of the Audi e-tron that was launched in 2021. Specification-wise, the Q8 e-tron comes with 50 and 55 variants with 95kWh and 114kWh battery packs respectively. Power-wise, the Audi Q8 e-tron produces 408bhp and 660Nm of torque. What about the range? The Q8 e-tron has a claimed range of 600km on a bigger battery. We can expect the Q8 e-tron to start from Rs 1.10 crore to Rs 1.40 crore.
