The most futuristic upcoming car in the country?

Tata Motors has taken the game very seriously in the last few years. Its decision to convert existing ICE cars into EVs has worked wonders. Tata knows electric is the future and is working on bringing more EVs. It is working on the Harrier EV and Curvv. However, its most groundbreaking EV has to be the Avinya. In today’s article, let’s talk about Tata Avinya.

Design

The Avinya is still a concept car and feels like it. According to Tata, Avinya showcases the brand’s Pure EV design. At the front, we have a massive grille with small light bulbs in it. Above that we have a DRL design that meets at the centre forming the Tata logo. The side profile consists of sharp creases. As it is a concept, it doesn’t get ORVMs, but rather a camera that transmits into the car. At the rear, we have LED tail lights similar to the front DRLs.

Tata Avinya – Specifications

The Avinya will be a ground-up EV based on a skateboard platform. This will give Tata proper liberty to fix the battery packs. The brand has also stated that all Gen 3 vehicles will come with 500+ km of range. We don’t know the power figures, but we can expect class-leading figures to be the flagship car. 

Interior

Tata has done something very unique with the interiors of the Avinya. The Avinya doesn’t come with a proper dashboard as it doesn’t have an infotainment system. Tata has stated that it plans to keep it a voice-controlled car. We could see a lot of ambient lighting on the exterior. Even the Avinya comes with a two-spoke steering wheel that has been spotted on all the upcoming Tata cars. 

Tata Avinya – Launch timeline

The Avinya is Tata’s most ambitious product and the brand will be looking to bring a polished product. Currently, Tata is working on launching a sleeve of EVs from Harrier to Curvv. The Curvv is still a concept and it would take some time before we see its production version. Tata has stated that it plans to launch the Avinya by 2025.
