Nissan’s Kicks replacement is this!
The Kicks was Nissan’s C-SUV that took on the Creta, Seltos etc. It was never quite able to take on the above-mentioned cars and was silently discontinued by the brand. Since then, Nissan is yet to launch a car to replace the Kick. It did reveal a car that could replace the Kicks. Which car are we talking about? It is the Nissan Juke. Design
The Juke is based on the CMF-B platform. Dimension-wise, the Juke is 4210mm in length, 1800mm in width and 1595mm in height. These dimensions pit the Juke perfectly against the Hyundai Creta. At the front, the Juke comes with slanting DRLs with a small Nissan grille. Headlamps are placed in a circular cutout with the tri-arrow theme. In the side profile, we have some sharp defining lines. At the rear, we have sharp LED tail lamps.
Nissan Juke 2023 – Specifications
The Nissan Juke comes with two powertrain options. Firstly we have a pure petrol 1.0-litre turbo engine capable of producing 115bhp and 200Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a DCT gearbox. The second engine option is a strong hybrid setup paired with a 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine and battery combo is capable of producing 143bhp. With the hybrid setups of Grand Vitara and HyRyder garnering good sales, Nissan should bring this hybrid setup to India.
Features
Globally, the Juke is not the most feature-loaded car. It comes with all the necessary ones like 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, a floating infotainment system, and a premium Bose sound system. The overall layout of the Juke is more practical than luxury.
Nissan Juke 2023 – Launch plans
Last year, Nissan unveiled three new SUVs for the Indian market. One of them was the Juke, but Nissan revealed the least information about it. The brand stated that first, it wants to conduct an analysis identifying the trends. Considering the popularity of C-SUVs, Nissan should launch the Juke to take on the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara etc.
