Mahindra is modernising its product lineup at a rapid pace. With the updates given to the XUV700 and Scorpio, it looks in no mood to slow down. Currently, it is working on the Thar 5-door and Bolero Neo Plus. However, after that, we could see Mahindra updating its best-selling SUV. Can you guess this SUV? It is the Bolero. So what will Mahindra change on the Bolero? In today’s article, let’s talk about 2024 Mahindra Bolero.

New design?

2024 Mahindra Bolero

The Bolero has practically remained the same since its launch in the early 2000s. Design-wise, Mahindra could retain the boxy silhouette, but with a modern touch. Also, the platform will be changed. We expect Mahindra to use the modified ladder-on-frame chassis of the Scorpio-N on the new-gen Bolero. This platform could improve the dynamics and stability of the new Bolero. Coming back to the design, we can expect an aggressive front look similar to other newer Mahindra cars.

2024 Mahindra Bolero – Updated specifications

Predicting the engine specifications of the new Bolero is a bit tricky. The sensible option is to use the 1.5-litre diesel engine. This will help Mahindra to get tax benefits. There is an outside chance of a 2.2-litre diesel engine similar to what it does on the Thar. Mahindra could offer the smaller engine on the lower variants, while the 2.2-litre could be offered on the higher variants. Transmission options could include manual and automatic gearbox options. Could Mahindra give it a petrol engine? That is a possibility, but we can’t be sure.

More features

Like the exterior, we can expect a major design overhaul in the interiors. Mahindra could give it a modern dashboard layout. Feature-wise, we could see a bigger infotainment system, premium sound system, AdrenoX capabilities, digital instrument cluster and LED headlamps.

2024 Mahindra Bolero – Launch timeline

2024 Mahindra Bolero

Mahindra had stated that it plans to launch the new Bolero between 2023 to 2026. A 2023 launch timeline doesn’t look feasible as Mahindra has a lot on its plate. Mahindra could look to slot the new Bolero between the Thar 5-door and its upcoming Born Electric cars.
