The Hyundai Exter comes with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 81bhp and 113.8Nm of torque. Transmission options include a manual and an AMT gearbox. We also have a CNG option producing 68bhp and 95.2Nm of torque. CNG is available only with a manual transmission.
The Tata Punch only comes with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine capable of producing 87bhp and 115Nm of torque. Transmission options include a manual and an AMT gearbox.
Features
Being a Hyundai car, the Exter comes with a long list of features. It comes with an electric sunroof, wireless charging, cruise control, digital instrument cluster, 8.0 infotainment system, automatic climate control etc. Safety features include six airbags (standard), TPMS, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill start assist control and Vehicle stability management.
In comparison, the Tata Punch is not that far behind. It comes with features like a 7.0-inch infotainment system, Harman sound system, cooled glove box, auto headlamps, reverse parking camera, semi-digital instrument cluster and cruise control. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, brake sway control etc. Not to forget, the Punch comes with a 5-star crash test rating from Global NCAP.

The Pricing of the Exter starts from Rs 7.12 lakh and goes to Rs 11.67 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). At the same time, the pricing of the Tata Punch starts from Rs 7.12 lakh and goes to Rs 11.17 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
