Toyota India has gained a lot of sales momentum in the last few months. In June, Toyota sold 18,237 units recording a YoY growth of 10.4%, which is massive. Toyota cars have a loyal fan base, especially the Innova and Fortuner. However, there is some bad news for prospective buyers. Toyota has decided to increase the price. Toyota has announced a price hike on all its cars ranging from Glanza to Velfire. The brand is yet to announce the exact price hike in terms of money or even the percentage. Why the price hike? According to the brand, the reason for the hike is the rise in input costs. We could expect a 5% to 10% price hike, considering the past hikes. 

Toyota’s lineup

Toyota has a wide variety of cars on sale in the Indian market. It sells rebadged Maruti products like Glanza. Other than that, it also has the Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Innova duo of Crysta & HyCross, Fortuner and Legender. It also sells premium cars like Camry and Vellfire.

Toyota is planning to bring several new products. The first product is a rebadged version of the Fronx, which will be launched by the end of this year. After that, we could see the much-awaited new-gen Toyota Fortuner sometime in 2024. Later on, Toyota could launch the 7-seater Corolla Cross, and after that, we could see Toyota’s first EV in India, similar to the Maruti eVX concept.
