Toyota’s most luxurious SUV coming soon!
Toyota is going hard in the luxury segment with cars like the Alphard and the Vellfire. In Japan, Toyota even has the Century luxury nameplate, which houses its luxury cars. Currently, we only have a Century sedan which is Toyota’s flagship model in Japan. The cars are quite a niche, with separate dealerships, even from the Lexus brand. Now the Century lineup is going to get a new SUV that is going to be a global SUV. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Toyota Century SUV.
New SUV
Toyota has confirmed that the new Century SUV will be launched and positioned alongside the Century sedan. The brand has set a launch date sometime in August this year. As a product, the Century will be the second model under the “Century” nameplate and, unlike the sedan, will be a global model.
What else do we know?
The exact details of the Century SUV are still scarce. From the design renders, the Century SUV looks massive. It has a close resemblance to the Bentley Bentayga. The Century is expected to be big on space and creature comforts, offering a premium experience to the customers. Toyota is targeting the Century SUV towards chauffeur-driven buyers.

According to reports, the Toyota Century will get a monocoque architecture similar to the Grand Highlander. Overall it will be bigger than the Highlander at around 5,200mm in length and 2m in width. The wheelbase of the Century will be similar to the Grand Highlander. What about the specifications? The Toyota Century SUV misses on the V12 engine like the Century sedan and rather comes with a petrol-hybrid powertrain.
