Tata Tiago achieves new milestone!

Tata’s SUV lineup is bringing big numbers. The Nexon and Punch combined bring 25k to 30k sales for Tata per month. Still, other cars like the Tiago are also doing decent numbers. On these lines, the Tiago has achieved another milestone in the country. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Tata Tiago 2023. 

5 lakh rollout

Tata Motors has announced that it has rolled out 5-lakh Tiago’s from its factory. These sales figures count both the ICE Tiago and the Tiago EV. But still, the major chunk of sales have come from the ICE version. Tiago has achieved the jump from 4 lakhs to 5 lakhs in 15 months, which is good enough growth considering the competition Tiago faces from its Maruti and Hyundai counterparts. 

Specifications & features

The Tiago comes with a 1.2-litre Revtron engine capable of producing 84bhp and 113Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. This engine also comes paired with a CNG option that produces 72bhp and 95Nm of torque. CNG only comes with a manual gearbox option. In terms of features, the Tiago comes with features like a 7-inch infotainment system, 8-speaker sound system, digital instrument cluster, reversing camera, cooled glovebox and automatic climate control. 

Tata Tiago 2023 – Pricing and rivals

The pricing of the Tiago starts from Rs and goes to Rs (on-road, Mumbai). While the Tiago EV starts from Rs and goes to Rs (on-road, Mumbai). The ICE Tiago rivals cars like the Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. Its EV version competes with the Citroen eC3 and MG Comet EV.
