The EV segment is still in its nascent stages in India. In the early stages, Tata has taken a big lead in this segment by converting its ICE cars into EVs. Currently, it looks like Tata is almost untouchable. However, Maruti seems to have other ideas. Today at the launch of the Invicto, Maurti revealed that it plans to launch six new EVs. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Maruti EV lineup.

Maruti EV lineup – 6 New EV models

Maruti EV lineup

At the Invicto launch event, Maruti revealed an image showcasing its carbon neutrality roadmap. In this image, we can see six silhouettes of different cars. Maruti didn’t elaborate much about the exact names or specifications. However, if we watch closely, we can guess the silhouettes of the cars to some extent. Starting from the left, the first car seems to be an electric version of the Fronx. Besides that, we seem to have the Jimny EV (this has been in the works). After that, the EV seems to be a WagonR EV. Then we have a familiar face, as it seems to be the eVX showcased at the Auto Expo. The rest of the two cars are still a mystery. Maruti plans to launch all these cars after 2025.

Maruti’s plan

Today Maruti wrapped up the launch of the Invicto. After that, Maruti could launch the new-gen Swift that has been spotted testing in Europe. With the new Swift, we could also see the launch of the all-new Dzire. Between these, we could also see a facelift of the Ciaz or Ignis if Maruti wants. Once it’s done with these, we can see the launch of eVX, which is expected to become Maruti’s first EV.
