New Swift to debut in this month of 2023?

Maruti has launched several new cars in the last few months. However, Maruti still has some business left, with some cars still needing an update. One such car is the Maruti Swift, which Suzuki is testing in Europe. We have been talking about the new Swift. Now according to a new Japanese media report, the launch of the Swift is just around the corner. In today’s article, let’s talk about New Maruti Swift 2023.

According to Bestcarweb, a Japanese automotive website, Suzuki plans to unveil the new Swift in the Summer of 2023. Considering the summer is already here, we think the launch of the new Swift is just around the corner. Suzuki could globally unveil the car in the next couple of months. India’s launch of the new Swift could happen in early 2024. The report also states that Suzuki plans to launch the Swift Sport sometime in 2024. We don’t think the Swift Sport will make its way to India. 

New Maruti Swift 2023 – Design 

The new Generation Swift has been spotted several times in camouflage. From the overall silhouette, it seems to be getting a sleeker design. It could get newer headlamps and taillamps. The spy shot also revealed the door handles on the door rather than on the C-pillar like the current model. 

Specifications

The new-gen Swift could continue with the 1.2-litre DualJet engine. This engine is capable of producing 88bhp and 113Nm of torque. Transmission options include a manual and an AMT gearbox. However, the new Swift is almost certain to get a strong hybrid setup paired with this engine. This hybrid setup will be similar to the one offered on the Grand Vitara and HyRyder. On the Swift, this combination could come with a claimed mileage of 35kmpl to 40kmpl. Such mileage is mind-boggling and surely attracts buyers to the new Swift. 

New Maruti Swift 2023 – Features

Maruti has figured out that features are the way forward in the Indian market. We have seen it load features on the Grand Vitara, Fronx and Brezza. So the new-gen Swift will also come with a new infotainment system, heads-up display, ambient lighting, and improved connected car technology. Safety features could include six airbags, VSC, ESP, etc.
