Honda to update this sedan in 2024
Honda has gotten quite active in the last few months in the country. It updated the City earlier this year and has now unveiled the Elevate, its first proper SUV in India. Now Honda’s next target is to bring the new-generation Amaze. The Amaze already scores heavily with its practicality and safety. Now with the new-gen, Honda could make it even better. New design
The new generation Honda Amaze could be based on the updated version of the PF-2 platform that also underpins the Elevate. Being a compact sedan, it will retain its sub-4m length. Talking about the design, the new generation could get adaptations from the City facelift. The evident chrome element on the grille, along with some signature touches, could be seen on the car.
Honda Amaze 2024 – Specifications
The engine specifications of the Amaze are likely to remain the same. So we could see the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine capable of producing 89bhp and 110Nm of torque. Transmission options could include a manual and a CVT gearbox. Could we see a CNG option? There are rumours, and considering the competition, Honda might give it a CNG option.
Features
Features and touch feel of materials have become an important selling point in the country. So Honda will need to buckle up by loading the new Amaze with features. We can expect a new floating infotainment system, premium sound system, leatherette upholstery, automatic AC, and rear AC vents. Maybe we could even see ADAS or an electric panoramic sunroof in the new-gen Amaze.
Honda Amaze 2024 – Launch and pricing
According to reports, Honda plans to launch the new-gen Amaze in the second half of 2024. The new-gen Amaze will continue to rival cars like the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor. With the Amaze, Maruti is also expected to update the Dzire with strong hybrid powertrains. So we can expect exciting times ahead in the compact sedan segment.
