The SUV market continues to grow at an exponential rate in the country. More so the compact categories like the Compact and C-SUV are bringing in the numbers. The C-SUV segment was started by the Renault Duster. Now it is nowhere to be seen in the market. However Renault is working on the newer model, and we have a new update regarding the all-new Duster. In today’s article, let’s talk about the all-new Duster.

New update

all-new Duster

Renault has started testing the Duster in Europe through its Dacia subsidiary. This has invoked a lot of excitement as the Duster continues to be a popular name plate in India. We have known for some time that the Duster is still a few years away from an India launch. But now according to a new report, the all-new Duster could hit the Indian market just before Diwali. This would mean a wait of three years, which is a lot in the Indian market. Till then Renault will need some more products to survive in the Indian market.

What else do we know?

The new Duster for the Indian market will be based on the heavily localised CMF-B Platform. This platform is being co-developed by both Renault and Nissan for the Indian market. According to reports, Nissan will also bring a badge-engineered Duster. From the spy shots, it is clear that the new Duster would come with a rugged profile. It also showed vertical tail lamps and LED DRL designs that resemble the Bigster concept.

All-new Duster – What else to expect?

The C-SUV segment has evolved a lot in the last few years. It has become very competitive with SUVs from all manufacturers. Renault will have to up its game in terms of the interior as the market now wants soft-touch elements and features. In terms of features, Reanult should give it a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless charging, powered seats etc. Renault will need some unique features to attract buyers from the established players.
