The Ford Endeavour was a car that took on the mighty Toyota Fortuner in India. It was the only car in Ford’s portfolio that had decent enough sales for its segment. With Ford’s exit, the Endeavour was discontinued and was expected to never make a comeback to India. But things have changed in the last few months and Endeavour is making a comeback. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Ford Endeavour India.

New details

Ford Endeavour India

As stated above, Ford’s exit ended Endeavour’s journey in the country. In the meantime, Ford launched the new-generation Endeavour globally and fans have been drooling over it and requesting Ford to launch it in India. Ford was also particularly keen to bring the Endeavour to India. Now with some minor taxation, Ford is bringing the Endeavour through the CKD route in India.

Specifications

Ford will give Endeavour the engine options it had before it was discontinued. So it will come with a 2.7-litre petrol and 2.8-litre diesel engine. India sadly misses out on the 3.0-litre V6 engine, but at least we have the Endeavour back. Transmission options include manual and automatic options on both engines.

April fool

Ford Endeavour India

Sorry for taking your valuable time, but today is the 1st of April and we had to do it. Ford had for a brief time considered launching the new Endeavour in India, but nothing concrete happened after that. We hope that we get to see the Endeavour in India in the coming years to stop the dominance of the Fortuner.
