Citroen is ramping up its effort in the last few months. In 2022, it launched the C3 hatchback, and now it has backed that up by bringing its electric version. But Citroen knows that it needs to bring in more cars to establish itself in the market. Citroen’s next car is expected to be an affordable 7-seater based on the C3. New spy shots of the C3 7-seater have surfaced online. In today’s article, let’s talk about this Citroen affordable 7-seater.

Spy shots

These spy shots were published by Motor1. Citroen is developing this 7-seater not only for the Indian market but also for other developing markets. So this car was spied on in Brazil with heavy camouflage. Still, it is easy to figure out this is the C3 7-seater. At the front, we can spot the eyebrow DRLs and halogen headlamps. As we move to the sides we can see the rear overhang. The spied car could be a lower variant as it had steel wheels. At the rear, we can see a tail lamp design similar to the C3 hatchback.

What else to expect?

According to rumours, the C3 Aircross will be better equipped than the C3 hatchback. It could get slightly better interiors and some extra features. Feature-wise, we expect alloy wheels, auto-dimming IRVM, automatic climate controls, electric ORVMs etc. What about the engine specifications? It could get the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine from the C3. The naturally aspirated option could be underpowered, but Citroen could give it to lower the starting price.

Citroen is yet to give an exact launch timeline, but we can expect this car in the second half of 2023. What about the pricing? We expect the Citroen 7-seater to be priced around the Rs 12 lakh mark (ex-showroom).
