Citroen, as a brand, is still establishing itself in the Indian markets. It only has two cars in the market – C5 Aircross and C3 Hatchback. Of this only, the C3 hatchback is a volume puller for the brand. So what can Citroen launch next? It could bring three new cars in 2023. What are these cars? In today’s article, let’s talk about Citroen Cars 2023.

EV

First up we have the affordable EV on which the brand is currently working. This EV is the Electrified version of the C3 hatchback, with the car spotted several times around Citroen’s factory in Chennai. Design-wise, it will be identical to the C3. Citroen could give it some EV highlights to differentiate it from the ICE C3. What about the specifications? It could come with a 30kWh battery pack that could deliver a real-world range of 200km. This EV is also expected to come with more features than the ICE-C3. What about the launch timeline? Citroen could unveil the car early next year.

C3 Aircross

The Next car Citroen is working on is a beefed up version of the C3 Hatchback. This car could be called the C3 Aircross. Earlier this year, the car was spotted testing with third-row seats. So is this Citroen’s Ertiga competitor? It could be if Citroen prices it smartly. What else could it get? The C3 Aircross could come with the 1.2-litre turbo petrol from the C3. It is also expected to get features like alloy wheels, automatic climate controls, auto-dimming IRVM etc. The C3 Aircross could be launched in the second half of 2023.

Citroen cars 2023- C3 Hatchback automatic

As mentioned above, Citroen launched the C3 earlier this year. The C3 has received a decent response. However, Citroen missed the trick by not offering an automatic gearbox option. Now there are rumours that Citroen could bring a 6-speed torque converter gearbox on the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. This will be a game changer considering all cars in this price range come with only AMT gearboxes. What about the price hike? The C3 automatic could be Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the similar-priced manual variants.
