Ola Scooter just got more affordable
Ola Electric is bringing the big EV revolution into the Indian market. The brand and its CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, have been quite adamant that it wants to end the ‘ICE’ age. Since the launch of the Ola S1 Pro, Ola has brought Move OS updates and launched the Ola S1. In October, Ola unveiled the Ola S1 Air and today it has finally launched it. It has also teased its new electric bike lineup. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Ola S1 Air price.
Ola S1 Air
In October, Ola announced the Ola S1 Air. Since then the brand had been quite tightlipped about its launch. So today, Ola has finally launched the Ola S1 Air. So what does it get? The S1 Air visually gets some changes, like a plastic bumper and a completely flat footboard. What about the specifications? The S1 Air gets a 4.5kW hub motor paired with a 2kW, 3kW and 4kW battery pack. With these specs, the Ola S1 Air 2kW gets a 85km claimed range, while 3kW (125km) and 4kW (165km). In terms of features, it gets three driving modes, reverse mode, a companion app, vacation mode etc.
Ola S1 Air price and launch
In October, Ola stated that it plans to start deliveries of the Ola S1 Air in April 2023. But now Ola has stated that deliveries will start from July 2023. Also, people who had booked the Ola S1 Air earlier will get a free upgrade to the Ola S1 Air 3kW battery pack. What about the pricing? The Ola S1 Air 2kW battery pack will start from Rs 84,999 (ex-showroom). While the 3kW and 4kW are priced at Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,09,999 respectively.
Ola bikes
Bhavish Aggarwal has been vocal about ending the ICE age in the country and for that, it needs more electric two-wheelers. For that matter, Ola is working on electric bikes. Today it has teased its 5 new bikes that will occupy different segments. All of the teased bikes come with futuristic designs. We will have to wait to see how much of this is materialised, but surely the bikes look promising.
