2023 Kia Seltos to get first in segment features
Kia entered with a bang in the Indian market. Its first product, Seltos, even took down the segment leader Creta for a few months. Currently, the Seltos is doing good enough sales, but the competition has heated up a lot with the launch of Kushaq/Taigun and Grand Vitara/HyRyder. So to stay one up, Kia is working on the Seltos facelift. It has already unveiled it outside India, packing a new design and several new features. In India, Kia could give it several more segment-first features. In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2023 Kia Seltos features.
Rotary gear knob
The Seltos unveiled outside India comes with a rotary gear knob. Till now, this type of gearbox was only seen in EVs or luxury cars. So if Kia brings it on the facelift in India, it will up the premiumness of the Seltos. Also, it will increase convenience, something Kia strives for in its cars.
2023 Kia Seltos features – Single pane display
Kia has completely redesigned the dashboard layout on the Seltos facelift. Now the instrument cluster and infotainment system combine into one single-piece display. Practicality wise it doesn’t change much but feels a lot more up-market. We hope Kia brings this design to the Seltos facelift in India.
Dual-zone climate control
Dual-zone climate controls let you set different AC temperatures for the driver and co-driver. Currently, no cars in this segment come with this feature. It is offered on higher-segment cars like the Mahindra XUV700 and MG Hector. Kia is known for such features and we can expect dual-zone climate control in the Seltos facelift.
2023 Kia Seltos features – Powered tailgate
An electronically powered tailgate is another nifty feature. It offers great convenience while carrying luggage. Also, we don’t need to put much effort into closing the boot lid as you can do it with one button. Kia offering it in the Seltos could be another segment first.
