Innova has always been a successful moniker in Toyota’s lineup. Since its launch in 2004, Innova has gone from strength to strength in the country. Now Toyota is completely changing the ideology of Innova. This new car is called the ‘Innova HyCross’ with a hybrid powertrain and several new features. Variants and pricing
The pricing of the Innova HyCross starts from approx Rs 22 lakhs and goes to Rs 36 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). There are four pure petrol variants – G 7-seater (21.89 lakh), G 8-seater (21.94 lakh), GX 7-seater (22.88 lakh) and GX 8-seater (22.94 lakh). The strong hybrid is offered with four variants – VX 7-seater (28.82 lakh), VX 8-seater (28.88 lakhs) , ZX (33.92 lakh) and ZX(O) (34.68 lakh) all prices mentioned above are on-road, Mumbai.
Toyota Innova HyCross price – Design
The Innova Hycross gets a more SUV-like design. Toyota has tried to mimic the design of its bigger SUVs. Its front design bears a close resemblance to the Hilux and RAV4. The side profile is clean with no major cuts and creases. From the C-pillar onwards, we can see the MPV-like styling of the Innova Crysta. At the rear, we have pearl-shaped headlamps with sloping rear-view mirrors.
Specifications
The new Innova HyCross is based on the TNGA-C platform, a big deviation from the traditional ladder-on-frame chassis. As we all know by now, the Innova HyCross doesn’t come with a diesel engine. It comes with a 2.0-litre pure petrol (172bhp/205Nm) and the same engine paired with a strong hybrid setup. This strong hybrid is capable of producing 183bhp with an engine torque of 188Nm and motor torque of 206Nm. Both engines miss out on a manual gearbox option.

Surprisingly, Toyota has loaded the Innova HyCross with an extensive list of features. For starters, you get a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, 10.1-inch infotainment system, ambient lighting and more. The Innova HyCross also comes with an Ottoman feature in the second row of seats. The Innova HyCross also became the first Toyota car in India to get ADAS as it comes with the brand’s ‘Toyota Safety Sense’. It has features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, road sign assist, auto high beam and more.
