Tata’s constant will of updating its sub-compact SUV has brought joyous results. The Nexon has become the highest-selling SUV in India. The car which is available in a plethora of editions and variants has made it the buyer possible to get his assessed choice within a VFM price bracket. But, many buyers are waiting for the update that it could get in 2023. In what aspects can Nexon get improved? Read below about the 2023 Nexon facelift.

The Nexon comes out with flying colours if we talk about safety, powertrain options and even features. Then, where it could better itself? The Nexon facelift could bump up its feature list to be in line with the most loaded car in the segment- Kia Sonet. Other than this we can expect some subtle design changes in its exteriors and interiors. Tata could tweak the car’s styling to give it a facelift update. This could include a new set of bumpers, a new alloy wheel design and some other minute changes in design. 

If we get inside the car, the Nexon facelift could get a larger touchscreen infotainment system with better UI and more features. An all-digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, an updated music system with an inbuilt subwoofer, front parking sensors, LED headlamps and more.

Powertrain and Launch details

The current selling Nexon is available with two engine options. It gets a 1.2-litre turbo petrol making 118bhp and a 1.5-litre diesel making 108bhp. In terms of gearbox options, it gets a 6-speed manual and an AMT auto gearbox. These same specifications are most likely to carry forward in the facelift update. No changes are expected in terms of powertrain options. However, they could tune the AMT gearbox to be more agile in terms of shifts. 

There is no official confirmation from the brand regarding the launch of this car but there is a high chance that the upcoming year could bring some or other changes to the Nexon. Be it another special addition, a new variant lineup due to the upcoming emission norms or a proper facelift update.
