Tata Harrier launch

According to reports, Tata could unveil the Harrier facelift at the Auto expo of 2023. Considering the fanfare, this will be the perfect time for Tata to showcase the Harrier and Safari facelifts. What about the launch? The launch could happen a few months after the unveiling. So we can expect the Harrier facelift to hit the dealerships by mid-2023.

What are the changes?

The Harrier facelift is expected to get various changes in the exterior and interior. On the exterior, it could get some subtle changes like a reworked grille and bumper design. Could the interior also get only some subtle changes? Yes, and No, the Harrier facelift could get a bigger floating infotainment system and reworked dashboard layout. Other than that, we could see new interior colours. Feature-wise, we could see added features like a 360-degree camera and an electric tailgate. Tata is also testing ADAS on the Harrier, which will be a major boost.

The facelifted Harrier is expected to continue with the 2.0-litre diesel engine. This is a Fiat-sourced engine, so we don’t expect Tata to retune it for the Harrier facelift. However, the Harrier facelift could come with a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. This engine is an extension of the 1.2-litre turbo petrol that powers the Nexon. But new reports have hinted that the engine is not a priority for Tata, and we may not see the petrol engine at the launch. It could be added later on. Tata is also retuning the suspension to improve off-road capabilities of the Harrier.
