The Japanese automaker had this SUV in the Indian market for quite a while. This moniker was used for an SUV and it is likely to upgrade soon. The new updated 2023 WR-V has launched in Indonesia with a slew of upgrades. This same car would be coming to India with some tweaks. As the car launched in Indonesia measures 4060mm in length, we can see design changes to narrow it down under 4 metres (for taxation purposes). Other than this its SUV characteristics like high ground clearance, bold front look with LED headlamps, and body cladding is to remain untouched.

Considering its size and dimensions, it will rival the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet and others. Then, if we move towards the features, it gets all the modern-day stuff like LED headlamps, reverse parking camera, 6 speaker audio system, leather wrapped steering wheel, etc. What about the engine? It is likely to get the same engine option as the Honda City with 1.5-litre petrol making 119bhp and 145Nm of torque. Transmission options could range between a 6-speed manual and a CVT auto.

If we talk about its powertrain, it is likely to remain the same as the 1.5-litre petrol engine. Moreover, it is likely to get the petrol hybrid as well. There is a high chance that the upcoming Honda City could delete the diesel engine option due to the BS6 Phase 2 norms. If we talk about its feature list, it could improve with a better infotainment system, all-digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and more. When could it launch? Honda is expected to unveil the City facelift at the end of 2023. Only then we can expect a proper launch.
