Maruti Baleno Cross to be better than Brezza!
Maruti is turning the heat up in the SUV segment. In the last six months, it has updated the Brezza and has also launched the Grand Vitara. But Maruti has plans to launch more SUVs seeing the sales and markets demand for it. It is working on a unique SUV in the form of the Baleno Cross. Dimensions-wise, the Baleno Cross will sit below the Brezza. However, in all the other aspects it could be better than the Brezza. Why do we think so? Coupe Design
As we have talked about above, the Baleno Cross will be quite a unique SUV due to its coupe design. The Baleno Cross will get a tapering roofline and integrated spoiler for better aerodynamics. To go with these better aerodynamics, it will also get sportier bumpers and side skirts. The spy shots have also revealed the Grand Vitara-like design with a sloping bonnet.

Better engine!
The Baleno Cross will be a sporty-looking car, and Maruti will back that up with a powerful engine. According to several reports, the Baleno Cross could come with a 1.0-litre Booster Jet engine capable of producing 100bhp and 150Nm of torque. In comparison, the Brezza comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine capable of producing 101bhp and 136Nm of torque. Though the power figures are not that different, the Baleno Cross will be lighter and nimbler than the Brezza giving it a performance edge. Maruti could also give the Baleno Cross manual and automatic options similar to the Brezza.
On the flipside, if Maruti wants to make this a more economical affair, the car could get the same 1.2-litre engine as the Baleno hatchback.
Maruti Baleno Cross vs Brezza- More features?
The new Brezza comes loaded with several new features like a 360-degree camera, 9-inch infotainment system, heads-up display etc. All these features could make their way onto the Baleno Cross. Why do we think so? The Baleno Cross will retail through Maruti’s premium Nexa dealerships. So Maruti will have to give the Baleno Cross premium interiors and an overall premium experience.
