Nissan India was having a torrid time in the Indian market until the launch of the Magnite. The Magnite has helped recover the Nissan brand in India, and now the brand wants to continue this momentum. Today it revealed three new cars. We have covered the other two, and for this article, we are covering the Nissan Qashqai. Let’s talk about the Nissan Qashqai India in 1-min.
The Nissan Qashqai is 4,394mm in length, 1,806mm in width and 1,595mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2,646mm and has a ground clearance of 188mm.
Nissan Qashqai India- Design
The Qashqai is a smart-looking car. At the front, we have the brand’s V-motion grille that integrates into the DRL design. Headlamps are placed lower with a sharp design creating an inverted C-shape with the DRLs. Other than the Qashqai comes with a sharp design language. In the interiors, the Qashqai gets black-coloured interiors with 9.0-inch infotainment in the middle. Overall the interiors are simple with nothing too fancy.
The Nissan Qashqai is built on Nissan-Renault’s CMF-CD platform. What about the engine specifications? The Qashqai comes with a turbo petrol mild-hybrid using the 1.3-litre petrol mild hybrid engine capbale of producing 153bhp and 270Nm of torque. Another engine could be a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 140kW electric motor with ‘self-charging’ functionality capable of producing 187bhp and 330Nm of torque.

Nissan has confirmed that it has started testing the Qashqai in India. The Qashqai will be launched after the X-Trail. When can we expect the launch? The Launch of Qashqai may happen in the second half of 2023. It will rival cars like the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson.
