The Altroz is one of the best-looking cars in the Indian market today, thanks to its sharp design language. The XT variant also carries forward the same look. It gets exterior highlights like LED DRLs, dual chamber headlamps, body-coloured bumpers & door handles. Sadly this variant misses out on alloys and gets 16-inch steel wheels instead. However, wheel caps have been offered to maintain a slightly premium appeal.

The Altroz XT comes with a dual-tone interior finish. It misses out on leatherette upholstery, but the Altroz XT Dark Edition gets that. In terms of space, the Altroz is spacious with ample room in the rear seat as well as in the boot (345-litres). In terms of features, it comes with a 7.0-inch infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a cooled glove box and a flat-bottom steering wheel. Music duties are handled by six- speaker Harman sound system which sound great and to quite an extent are the best in the segment. Also, this variant offer engine start-stop & all power windows.

Safety

The Altroz was one of the first Indian hatchbacks to get a five-star rating from GNCAP. It scored 16.13 out of 17.00 in adult occupation protection & 29.00 out of 49.00 for child safety. So, if safety is your priority, then the Altroz is your only choice in this segment. In terms of safety features, it gets dual airbags, ISOFIX, a reverse parking camera with sensors, anti-glare IRVM and cornering stability control.

Specifications

The XT variant comes with three engine options. It comes with two petrol engine options: a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated engine capable of producing 84bhp & 113Nm of torque, while the second engine is a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine capable of producing 108bhp & 140Nm of torque. Diesel duties are handled by a 1.5-litre engine capable of producing 88bhp & 200Nm of torque. Only the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated-engine comes with the DCA automatic transmission option.

The pricing of the XT petrol variant starts from Rs 9.06 lakh and goes to Rs 10.80 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). On the other hand, the XT diesel variant starts from Rs 10.69 lakh and goes to Rs 11.19 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
