Toyota & Maruti have been collaborating on various products from SUVs to EVs. One of their biggest projects together was developing a mid-size SUV to take on the Hyundai Creta. Last month, Toyota finally unveiled the Urban Cruiser HyRyder. Toyota revealed everything about the car, barring the price. So what could Toyota be looking to price it at? In today’s article, let’s talk about our price expectations of the Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder.

Toyota HyRyder price expectations

Let’s straight away talk about the pricingRecently, the prices of the Grand Vitara were leaked online. The pricing of the mild hybrid setup starts from Rs 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes to 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom) with the AWD setup. On the other hand, the strong hybrid setup starts from Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes to Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom). Can we expect the same for the Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder? The HyRyder could be a bit more expensive than the Maruti Grand Vitara. Toyota is expected to do so to attract premium customers. We have seen this with their previously shared products like Urban Cruiser & Glanza. We expect the HyRyder to be Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 more expensive than the Grand Vitara. This extra cost could translate into a better warranty package.

Design

The new Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder does get a muscular design. At the front, we have eyebrow DRLs and a small grille giving a menacing look. Headlamps are placed adjacent to the air dam. The side profile has an extended overhang. At the rear, we have C-shaped taillamps completing the look. What about the interiors? We have a floating infotainment system with leather upholstery on the dashboard. Other interior highlights include a three-spoke steering wheel, dual tone seats & digital instrument cluster.
