Hyundai Creta has been an important product in the brand’s lineup ever since its debut in 2015. Hyundai received a massive push in terms of sales thanks to this C-segment SUV. Players like Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano that sat in the same segment had to be discontinued but the Creta kept on moving headstrong. The first-generation Hyundai Creta was updated in 2020 and is now ready to receive an important facelift in India. The next facelift will be bringing with it quite many important changes. However, today we have some important news to share with you about the Creta facelift. What is it? Read on to know.

Latest update

Hyundai Creta facelift India

Hyundai first unveiled the Creta facelift in Indonesia. Now, the brand has launched it in the South Africa. With Hyundai slowly covering important markets, can we expect an Indian launch soon? Probably yes. Hyundai is the second biggest player in the country. Moreover, the Creta is the top-seller for the brand. With both reasons in its favour, Hyundai should not delay the launch. The facelift is expected to arrive in India by the end of this year or in the initial months of next year.

What updates can the Hyundai Creta facelift get?

The biggest change is the Tucson-inspired front fascia. The facelift comes with ‘parametric jewel’ design which has LED DRLs integrated in the grille to maintain uniformity. The rear does not get any major change, however the tail lamps have been slightly tweaked. Regular changes like tweaked bumpers and alloy wheels are also present.

The Creta also gets quite many significant changes in terms of features. Tilt & telescopic steering wheel and a fully-digital instrument cluster (the one we get to see on the Alcazar) have been added to it in the South African market. We expect the same to be extended in India as well. Now, brands bring features to their cars depending on their strategy which varies with markets. ADAS is something that Hyundai could definitely bring to the India-spec facelift. Hyundai Tucson is the first car from the brand to come with Level 2 ADAS here. We expect the same set of ADAS features to be extended to the Creta as well. What else could it get? We think multi-colour ambient lighting and 360-degree parking camera could also be added to this C-segment SUV.

Hyundai Creta facelift India – Any changes in specifications?

It is highly unlikely that we will get to see changes in specifications. Thus, the same 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine could continue. However, any boost in power figures is welcome since some rivals offer powerful engines in the category.

Pricing & Launch
