Rs 10 lakhs Hyundai car to redefine its segment
Hyundai is one of the most loved car manufacturers in India after Maruti. In this generation of SUVs, there is a segment of people who still like sedans. Recently, Honda launched the City hybrid to make the competition more interesting in the mid-size sedan segment. Now, Hyundai is planning to launch the Verna facelift very soon after the launch of the new Venue.
Design
Hyundai Verna facelift would come based on the ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language. A sporty front and rear fascia is expected to give the facelift a radical design. Moreover, we expect the dimensions to see an increment over the outgoing model.
Features
Currently, the Hyundai Verna gets a good amount of features inside. It gets a big infotainment system, good quality music system, Bluelink connected car technology, ventilated seats, wireless phone charging, and much more. In the new generation, it would continue getting all these features. Looking at the competition, Hyundai might update the infotainment system of this car. So the facelift might get a bigger 10.25-inch infotainment system and Bose sound system inside. Some extra features might also be added.
Hyundai Verna facelift – Engine
The new Hyundai Verna facelift might continue getting the same engine options that the current generation gets. Currently, the Hyundai Verna is available in three engine options. The first is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 113bhp & 144Nm of torque, the second in 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 118bhp & 172Nm of torque, and the third is a 1.5-litre diesel engine that makes 113bhp & 250Nm of torque. The transmission options include a six-speed manual, CVT, DCT and a torque convertor AT gearbox.
However, this time around, the Verna might see a mild-hybrid engine coming to it. This will help it give a decent foot against the City Hybrid.
Hyundai Verna facelift – Prices
The new Hyundai Verna facelift might be launched in 2023. It could get a price hike of close to Rs 60,000 to Rs 80,000. In the market, it would continue competing with cars like Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus.
