Proton has already had some presence in India. Earlier this year, the Proton X50 was spotted testing in Pune. So does it confirm its India launch? No. Just a spotting cannot be a confirmation that the product would definitely launch, however, it definitely hints that the brand is attempting to enter the market somehow. Moreover, nothing official has been confirmed by Proton. But, to take on the market seriously, the brand would have to establish a local manufacturing plant since the pricing would have to be kept aggressive.

The Proton X50 gets a sharp and muscular design language. On the front, it comes with sharp headlamps with integrated L-shaped DRLs. We also get to see a small grille with red highlight. The side profile consists of a lot of curvy bits. At the rear, it gets LED taillamps with a chrome strip in the middle.

The interior does look minimalistic with not too many elements to distract the driver and occupants. However, when we say minimalistic, it does not mean lack of elements. The X50 does get features which we will discuss in a bit.
