New Mahindra Scorpio-N – PRICE EXPECTATIONS!

The wait for the Scorpio-N is finally coming to an end as Mahindra has started the promotional campaign for the new SUV. Mahindra will be launching the new Scorpio-N on 27th June to mark this iconic nameplate’s 20th anniversary. The brand has slowly started rolling out some important information regarding the SUV, like availability of petrol & diesel engine along with 4X4 drivetrain option on selected variants. Apart from this, quite a lot of information has already been extracted from spy shots. However, one thing that no one has clear indication on is the pricing. In today’s article, let’s talk about the expected price of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N.

Price expectations

A lot of information is going around about the new Scorpio-N. There are rumours that Mahindra will sell the new Scorpio alongside the current generation. These rumours have added more confusion in predicting the price of the Scorpio. So, what could be the pricing of the Scorpio? We expect it to start somewhere between Rs 14.5 lakh to Rs 15.5 lakh (on-road) whereas the top-end could touch the Rs 25 lakh mark (on-road).

What else do we know so far?

As mentioned above, Mahindra has started promotional activity for the Scorpio-N. So we have a fair amount of information on the exterior design of the Scorpio. It will get LED projector headlamps with a slanting LED indicator placed below the headlamps. Then we have LED fog lamps on the bumper surrounded by LED DRLs. 

What else can we expect?

Mahindra hasn’t yet teased the interiors, but earlier spy shots have given us a fair amount of information regarding the interiors. Mahindra has gone over & above in updating the interiors of the Scorpio. It now gets a modern dashboard layout and a big dashboard-integrated infotainment system in the middle. It will also get premium leatherette seats with six and seven-seater options.

So, what engines will power the new Scorpio? The new Scorpio is expected to get both petrol and diesel engine options. It will get a 2.0-litre mStallion petrol and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. The exact specs of these engines are yet to be revealed, but they are expected to come in two different states of tune.
