New Mahindra Scorpio design revealed via new teaser!
The Scorpio hype train is catching up a lot of steam since the past few days. Last week, Mahindra posted the first teaser, and now Mahindra has posted a new teaser giving more hints about the design. In this article, we will talk about the new teaser which is revealing the design of the Mahindra Scorpio.
New teaser
Mahindra has followed last week’s teaser with a new one. This teaser is a continuation of the first teaser with Mahindra calling the Scorpio the ‘Big Daddy of SUVs’. With the new Scorpio, Mahindra is claiming to target the D-segment of cars. The teaser also highlights various characteristics of the Scorpio like it bigger, more high-tech and really powerful.
We get to see more exterior highlights of the Scorpio in this teaser. We can see the Mahindra slated grille with the new brand logo. We also get to see LED projector headlamps for low beam and LED lamps for high beam. Slanting LED indicators are placed below the headlamps. It also shows the side profile, which looks similar to the XUV700. Mahindra has given the new Scorpio LED fog lamps surrounded by LED DRLs.
New Mahindra Scorpio design – What else do we know?
Mahindra hasn’t officially revealed the interiors but earlier spy shots have revealed that it will get a big design upgrade over the current model. In the interior, we will get to see a new dashboard layout with a big infotainment system in the middle. It will be based on the new ladder-on-frame chassis that underpins the new Thar as well. The new Scorpio will come with six and seven-seater options.
Expected powertrains
So how fast will the daddy be? According to Mahindra, it will be fast. We expect it to borrow engine options from the XUV700 and the Thar. It will come with a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Mahindra will give it a manual and automatic gearboxes with an optional 4×4 option as well.
