Nissan electric car – Prices

Nissan electric car

In USA, the Nissan Leaf starts from $27,400 (around Rs 21.25 lakh INR). If Nissan wants to bring it in India, they would have to locally manufacture it in order to keep the pricing in check. Around this price point, we currently have players like the Tata Nexon Max and the MG ZS EV. The launch of the Nissan Leaf is uncertain, however, looking at the range that it offers, it in actuality competes with the Nexon EV. However, it is a hatchback. So, all in all, the Nissan Leaf becomes a very confusing product to position in the Indian market. Nissan would really have to plan a strategy to actually make profit from the Leaf in India. Looking at all of this, we don’t expect to see the Leaf anytime soon.
