Ola Electric is quite optimistic about its future. Their next ambitious plan is to launch an electric car in India. Ola’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has been quite active regarding this on Twitter and other forums as well. In today’s article, we will discuss the Ola electric car.

Ola has ambitious plans in the EV space. According to Bhavish Aggarwal, the next product from Ola Electric will be an electric car. In a tweet, he had shown a concept car that could inspire the production-ready Ola car. In addition, he even shared that Ola has started testing an autonomous vehicle.

Latest development

Ola’s upcoming electric car could be designed by Krux Studio, led by Ramkripa Ananthan. According to sources, Ola Electric has signed a contract with Krux Studio for designing vehicle projects. But why is this so important? For context, Ramkripa Ananthan is the former design head of Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M). She has led successful projects like the Thar & XUV700. So engaging someone like her seems to be encouraging if Ola does make a car in the future.

Ola electric car – Launch timeline

Bhavish is quite optimistic that Ola’s car will see the light of the day in the upcoming two to three years. It is encouraging but building an electric car is not an easy feat. Electric cars are a completely different ball game than electric scooters. So it remains to be seen what direction the company will take to turn this vision into reality. If Bhavish’s vision goes as planned, we expect to see the Ola Electric car plying on roads by 2025.
