Tata Tigor EV

The most affordable EV is the Tata Tigor. Tata’s strategy of converting its ICE vehicles into EVs has worked quite well for the brand, at least in the initial phase of electrification. The Tigor comes with a 26kWh battery that can go from 0 to 80% in 65 mins on a 25kW charger. With a 15A socket, you will need 8 to 9 hrs to fully charge the car.

The Nexon EV is currently grabbing all the spotlight in the Indian EV scene. It is the best selling electric car thanks to its price and range. Tata is also planning to bring the Nexon EV Max next week. The Nexon EV currently comes with a 30.2kWh battery pack. The Nexon EV can go from 0 to 80 % charge in less than 60 mins.

MG ZS EV

The ZS EV is another popular electric car in India. Recently, MG launched the facelifted ZS EV. The ZS EV comes with fast charging capabilities. The ZS EV comes with a 50.3kWh battery pack. It can go from 0 to 80% in 60 mins on a 50kWh DC fast charger. With a normal 7.4 kW home charger, the battery can take about 8.5 to 9 hours for a full charge. 

Fast charging electric vehicles – Hyundai Kona electric

The Kona is currently Hyundai’s only EV in India. It has been somewhat of a hit and miss product in India. Though it is a competent product, it has failed to attract customers. The Kona Electric comes with a 39kWh battery. On a 100 kW DC charger, the Kona can go from 0 to 80% in 57mins. On a normal charger, it takes around 8-9hrs for the Kona to go from 0 to 100%.
