Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the best selling hatchbacks in India. It is known for its sporty looks and peppy performance. But globally, Suzuki also makes a more powerful version of the Swift called the Swift Sport. Suzuki might be working on bringing the Swift Sport to India, considering the recent sightings and rumours. Suzuki has not confirmed anything about the Swift Sport, but the car was recently spotted at Mumbai airport. It was once again spotted during ARAI testing in Pune. All these details hint that Maruti could be considering a launch in India. We think Suzuki could actually price the Swift competitively against the Hyundai N Line. The ideal pricing of the Swift Sport could be somewhere in the range of Rs 12 lakh to Rs 13 lakh (on-road).

The Suzuki Sport gets honeycomb-shaped grille with a unique staggered design. It also gets a front-lip slider, side skirts, rear diffuser, and 17-inch alloy wheels. At the rear also we get to see dual exhausts. Inside the cabin, we have a touch of red accents on the seats, dashboard and sporty alloy pedals.

Specifications

Dimension-wise, the Suzuki Sport is 50mm longer and 40mm wider compared to the normal Swift. Coming to the engine specifications, it comes with a K14C 1.4-litre Booster Jet turbocharged petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 138bhp & 230Nm of torque. It comes mated to a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic gearbox.
