India’s best-selling sedan to receive a major update soon
The sedan market seems to have found a stable ground after a long run of registering dipping sales. One car that had been leading the segment and still continues to lead is the Honda City. In March, Honda sold 3,225 units of the City. To continue the dominance, Honda will be giving the City a major update very soon. In today’s article, we will discuss the Honda CIty Hybrid 2022.
Launch and pricing
Honda will be launching the City Hybrid on the 14th of April 2022. Coming to the pricing, the regular Honda City starts from Rs 11.38 lakh and goes to Rs 15.39 lakh (ex-showroom). Honda is not looking to play the volume game and will be charging a premium on the City Hybrid. So we can expect the City Hybrid to touch the Rs 18 lakh to Rs 20 lakh price tag.
Honda City hybrid 2022- Design
The City hybrid will not get any major exterior changes. It will be near-identical to petrol or diesel-powered cars, only differentiating thing will be the hybrid badging in the front and rear. City Hybrid is also expected to get a new colour option.
Specifications
The City Hybrid will come with Honda’s i-MMD, hybrid technology. This technology is quite similar to the e:HEV system. It also employs two electric motors and a combustion engine. The first motor will work as an integrated starter, while the second motor will directly send power into the front wheels. The hybrid setup will give it the best mileage in its segment. It is expected to get a mileage of 27kmpl to 30kmpl, making it one of the most efficient cars in India.
Honda City hybrid 2022- Features
The City hybrid will carry forward most of its features from the normal City. But the City Hybrid is confirmed to get Honda Safety Sense. Honda Sensing tech is a bundle of active and passive systems. It will get safety features like a lane departure warning system, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking and front collision warning.
