Install CNG-compatible spark plugs
A CNG car requires a different spark plug when compared to a regular petrol car. After fitting the CNG kit from the dealer or changing the spark plugs while maintenance, make sure that you are installing a CNG-compatible spark plug. If you cannot manage to get one, you can simply reduce the gap between the spark source and the metal tip of the spark plug. However, this should only be done under extreme situations and should not be put into regular practice.
Start your car on petrol
While starting a CNG car, you should make sure that your vehicle is in petrol mode. Let the engine warm up till its optimum operating temperature, then you can switch to the CNG mode. It will provide sufficient lubrication for the CNG fuel and also helps in enhancing the engine life.
