Things the MG Astor still needs!
MG has kicked off its journey in the C-SUV segment with the Astor. And that particular launch has clicked the right notes with the Indian audience. The Astor while targeting segment leaders like Creta and Seltos brought in a lot of segment-first including ADAS and personal AI assistant. Moreover, the quality used in the interior is attracting many users to this SUV. However, MG has still missed some things that could have made it a better product. In today’s article, we will see things 2022 MG Astor still needs.
Diesel engine
The strict emission norms have severely affected the diesel car market. But diesel still remains a popular choice in this segment. A majority of the sales of Creta and Seltos come from their diesel engine variants. A 1.5-litre engine will be ideal on the Astor and will surely help it to compete with the rivals.
2022 MG Astor – Auto-dimming IRVM
For such a feature-loaded car, it is kind of weird that MG has missed such a basic feature. Auto-dimming IRVMs offer respite from glares coming from trailing vehicles. This feature helps reduce eye strain and fatigue. The Astor comes with manual dimming IRVM. MG might be saving this feature for the next updates.
Wireless charging
Wireless charging is quickly becoming a common feature. Most of the newer cars come with wireless charging & wireless phone connectivity. The Astor does offer wireless connectivity but misses out on wireless charging. MG needs to give it wireless charging to give that uncluttered cabin experience.
2022 MG Astor – Ventilated seats
Ventilated seats have become quickly become the most demanded feature in India. India’s hot & humid climate is the major reason behind their increased demand. Almost all cars in this segment come with ventilated seats, so it is surprising that MG has missed out on such a feature. Even lower segment cars like the Kia Sonet and Tata Nexon come with ventilated seats. We expect MG to add this feature in the next update.
