Jeep is an aspirational brand in India. It currently sells only two cars in India, the Compass & Wrangler. The Compass pulls in decent sales, but Jeep is looking to expand its India operations. It has already announced that it will be launching three new SUVs this year. Of this, it has already launched the Compass Trailhawk and has announced the Jeep Meridian. The Third product will be the Grand Cherokee. Now we have spotted the Grand Cherokee testing in India. In today’s article, we will see the spotted the Jeep Grand Cherokee in India.
What has been spotted?
A heavily camouflaged car was spotted in Pune, Maharashtra, by one of our readers Rugved Jagtap. It is easy to figure out this is a Jeep car from the grille design. From the overall silhouette, it seems to be the Grand Cherokee. Its alloy wheels also match the Grand Cherokee sold outside India. It is hard to figure out if this is the 5-seater or the 7-seater version.
Specifications
Globally the Grand Cherokee comes with three engine options. A 3.6-litre V6 engine, a 5.7-litre V8 and a 2-litre turbo hybrid. In India, we can expect the 3.6-litre V6 paired with an automatic gearbox. 4WD is standard in all variants, but its capabilities vary depending on the variants.

Feature-wise, the Grand Cherokee comes loaded with features. It comes with features like a 10.1-inch infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, multi-zone climate control, 19-speaker McIntosh audio, ventilated & heated seats, seats with massage functions etc. In terms of safety, it comes with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), park-assist, 360-degree camera and intersection collision alert.
