Last year both brands launched their C-segment SUVs, the Kushaq and Taigun. Now bot brands are bringing two sedans. Skoda has already launched the Slavia and now Volkswagen has unveiled the Virtus. Dimensions

Dimension-wise, the Virtus is 4,561mm in length, 1,752mm in width & 1,507mm in height. In comparison, the Slavia is 4,541mm in length, 1,725 mm in width and 1,487mm in height. Both the cars have the same wheelbase of 2,651mm. Both the cars also have the same boot space of 521-litres. 

Design

Design is the major differentiator between both cars. The Virtus comes with a design similar to the sixth generation Polo. At the front, it gets sleek looking headlamps with L-shaped DRLs. It gets a two slate grille like other VW cars. At the rear, we have wrap-around tail lamps. 

The Slavia comes with a design similar to the new Octavia. It comes with the traditional Skoda grille. Also, it comes with sharp-looking headlamps with L-shaped DRLs. The rear gets wrap around tail lamps that extend into the tailgate.

Both the cars share the same engine options & transmission options. So both come with a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine capable of producing 113bhp & 178Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine capable of producing 148bhp & 250Nm of torque. Transmission options include manual and a torque converter on 1.0-litre. While a manual and DSG gearbox on the 1.5-litre engine.

Virtus vs Slavia- Features

Both the cars share the same features. So both cars come with a digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch infotainment system, electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, 8-speaker sound system, auto climate control, TPMS etc.
