Upcoming Sporty SUVs in India – Wait for them!
SUVs have seen a rapid growth not just globally but in the Indian market as well. New buyers are preferring SUVs over other body types. SUVs are further categorised according to their dimensions. All in all, the Indian market gets a variety of SUVs. Now, we are going to see a list of sporty SUVs making their way to India. Some companies have already shown their coupe-shaped SUVs in the Auto Expo. In today’s article, we will know about all the upcoming sporty SUVs which we expect to launch in India soon.
Tata Creta competition
Tata Creta competition will be a coupe-styled SUV. This SUV will use the Nexon’s X1 platform with a longer wheelbase. Features like ventilated seats, air purifier, premium Harman sound system, connected car tech, etc. will be made available with this SUV. It might also get a 360-degree parking camera to take on other cars in the segment. Tata might offer panoramic sunroof and level-two ADAS with this car.
Upcoming Sporty SUVs – Mahindra XUV900
The XUV900 will be the first coupe-SUV from Mahindra. It is expected to share most of its features from the XUV700. It can get premium features like level 2 ADAS, powered front seats, ventilated front seats, and lots more. Powering the XUV900 will be Mahindra’s latest 2.0-litre turbocharged mStallion petrol engine and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. It is expected to be launch sometime around 2024-2025 with a starting price tag of somewhere around Rs 25 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Renault Arkana
Renault has been testing a coupe-styled SUV, the Arkana in India. The car is under evaluation for the country. The SUV is expected to run on a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine. Features like a big infotainment system, connected car tech, a 360-degree parking camera, panoramic sunroof, and level-two ADAS technology are expected with this SUV.
GWM Haval H6s
GWM is a Chinese car-making company that has plans for a debut in India. They might launch their affordable SUV Coupe, the Haval H6s in India. The H6s is a sporty, coupe variant of their mid-size SUV, the Haval H6. Talking about the engine, it could get a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. It can get features like the heads-up display, a big infotainment system, an electronically-adjustable seat, a 360-degree parking camera and a big panoramic sunroof.
Upcoming Sporty SUVs – Ford Mustang Mach E
Ford Mustang Mach E is the first all-electric SUV from the brand. Being a Mustang, it is a performance-focused EV. Ford is planning to re-enter India as an EV maker. The Mustang Mach E is expected to brought to India as a CBU.
