Tata Punch

The Punch is Tata’s sub-compact SUV in India. This segment was started by the Mahindra KUV100, but it has struggled to bring in good sales. In comparison, Punch racks close in 9,000 to 10,000 sales every month since its launch. Several upcoming products are expected in this segment, but for now, Punch has no competition in this segment. The Punch is known for its five-star GNCAP rating & features. The pricing of the Punch starts from Rs 6.75 lakh and goes to Rs 11.14 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

The Fortuner dominates the full-size SUV segment in India. It did face some strong competition from the Ford Endeavour, but Ford’s exit has left Fortuner with practically no strong rival in its segment. The Fortuner is known for its muscular road presence and Toyota’s reliability. Fortuner has built its status among buyers. Even though it lacks features, Toyota commands a premium price for the Fortuner due to the lack of competition. The pricing of the Fortuner starts from Rs 37.67 lakh and goes to Rs 52.57 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
