It is a favourite among first-time buyers due to its low pricing. As Alto competes in the affordable segment, Maruti has not given it any major update since its launch in 2012 to keep the costs down. But, now Maruti is working on the new-generation Alto. This new-generation will get an updated design with a lot of added features. It is expected to be launched in mid-2022.

The Kwid is Renault’s affordable offering in the Indian market. The car rakes in decent sales for Renault, but it is nowhere close to other cars in the segment. Renault should give it a big update to compete with the competition. In this update, Renault should give it some exterior updates. But the main focus should be on giving it better interiors and features. Renault should also work on engine refinement.
