Mahindra teases three new electric SUVs

Electric vehicles have been the recent rage in the market. They are touted as the future of the automobile industry. Every car manufacturer is investing heavily in electric vehicles. Mahindra is also investing heavily in its electric division. Mahindra’s electric division is known as ‘Mahindra Born Electric’. It has big plans and hopes for this new electric division. Today, Mahindra, for the first time revealed its plans by posting a teaser. In today’s article, we will see the new electric SUVs teased by Mahindra

What has been teased?

Mahindra Automotive tweeted the Born Electric vehicle teaser. The video starts by showing the development location – the Mahindra Auto Studio in UK. The teaser shows three cars with big C-shaped DRLs. All three cars show a futuristic design language. The video then pans straight to the rear.

The rear also gets big LED taillamp strips highlighting the rear. One of the cars also sports a spoiler. In the end, it reveals the unveiling date as July, 2022. Though this is speculation, we think the three cars consist of a coupe SUV, a mid-size SUV and a pickup truck.

What else can we expect?

Mahindra is also developing a Mahindra Electric Scalable Modular Architecture range of battery packs that will be compatible with these ground-up EVs and existing vehicles. It will also focus on design and human interference in these ground-up EVs. This is just the start as Mahindra has already announced that it is planning nine electric SUVs in the future. Along with the born electric vehicles, Mahindra will also be converting its exiting internal combustion cars into electric vehicles.
