Is the new Mahindra Scorpio getting some unique features?

Mahindra is known for its rugged SUV lineup. This image has been built over the years by workhorses like the Scorpio & Bolero. The Scorpio is loved in both urban and rural areas due to its various capabilities. But Mahindra wants to give it a big update to continue its legacy. As a product, the Scorpio is quite a unique product and it does get a lot of unique features. Mahindra will be looking to continue these unique features in the new Scorpio Sting. Hydraulic struts

Most mass-market cars come with a normal bonnet opening. In this, you open the bonnet and hook it to a slot placed in the bonnet. With a hydraulic strut, you have to lift the bonnet and it automatically maintains its position. The current Scorpio comes with a hydraulic strut and we expect the same on the newer generation. 

Mahindra Scorpio unique features- 4×4

The Scorpio will come with a proper off-road system to complement its rugged nature. The Scorpio will come with settings like 4WD high and low giving it more freedom while off-roading. Additionally, the rear axle might get MLD for better off-road performance.

Rear-wheel drive

The Scorpio comes with a rear-wheel-drive system that gives the SUV better handling. The engine provides power to the rear wheels, while the steering handles the front wheels. The biggest advantage of this setup is that rear-wheel-drive vehicles don’t show signs of torque steer as there is no connection between the engine and steering wheel. 

Mahindra Scorpio unique features- Ladder-on-frame

The current Scorpio is built on a ladder-on-chassis frame. So we can expect Mahindra to continue the same on the new Scorpio Sting. The ladder-on-chassis has benefits like robust framework, rigid structure and off-road superiority. So we can expect Scorpio sting to be a strong SUV with good off-road capabilities.
